Weaving With Waste Workshop

Sarah teaches people through the Weaving with Waste workshops, how to weave with colourful waste materials, which are proving to be very popular. It’s incredible to think you can make a stylish small bag or table mat out of old crisp packets! How cool is that?
About the Weaving with Waste Workshop
In this 6 hour course, you get to learn how to warp up a simple frame loom and how to weave using conventional yarn (all from charity shops). Then Sarah will show you how to incorporate all sorts of colourful materials which usually get thrown away – plastic packaging, snack packets, old phone cables, old clothes, baler twine etc.
At the end of the session you will be made all sorts of creations such as a wall hanging, table mat, small bag or cover a note book.
Sarah will bring all the materials needed, but feel free to bring extra if you want. Moreover, at the end of the session, there is the option of buying the loom, pick-up stick and shuttle for £15. Plus, you get 10% off any purchases at Shop Zero on the day of the workshop.
After our session, you’ll never look at your snack packets in the same way! Plus, a colourful weaving makes the perfect personalised gift for someone special.
