People Planet Pint – UK wide sustainability meetups

People Planet Pint runs informal sustainability meetups in UK pubs. No pitches, no panels, no presentations – just people talking over a drink.

Founded in 2021, it now operates in dozens of towns. Each event is organised locally by volunteers; a central platform handles listings, branding, and sponsors Krystal Hosting from day one, plus Eleven Associates, Green Business, Tyler Grange.

The format is deliberate: show up, order a pint or a soft drink, chat. Attendees range from campaigners to people who’ve never touched a climate event but feel uneasy about the future. No jargon, no hierarchy, no pressure to perform concern. You don’t need answers — just curiosity.

The messaging targets climate anxiety directly: “you’re not alone,” “leave more optimistic.” The pub setting does the heavy lifting — it signals accessibility before anyone speaks.

Events run monthly. No fees, no mailing lists, no commitment. Turn up once or every month. The model runs on sponsorship and volunteer labour.

In short: low-friction social infrastructure for climate conversation. It doesn’t solve the crisis directly. It builds the social fabric that makes collective action possible.
