Grow Studios offer a set of tested, architect-designed plans which are straightforward for a joiner or experienced DIYer to build. We handle the planning process and provide a complete set of construction information which is ready to build from.
Our designs use a considered palette of high-quality, largely bio-based materials (no foam insulation here), to create a warm, bright, comfortable space for daily use throughout the year.
Grow Studios are designed to last a lifetime, and then some. Timber cladding and double-glazed units are designed to be removed and replaced with a screwdriver after 20-30 years. We specify larch, which is naturally rot-resistant and can be composted at the end of its life. There is no reason the rest of the building shouldn’t last a century.
Our fee covers all architectural work: consultation, design, planning permission, material details and quantities, and a full set of construction information tailored to your build. If planning permission is refused, we refund the fee in full.
