Nottingham residents are calling for an ambitious new project to create a direct, protected, active travel route joining up communities North and South of Nottingham, through the city centre.
Lots of people would like to walk, cycle or scooter to get around Nottingham, but are too scared to do so. Too many of our roads are still not safe or comfortable places to be if you are not inside a motor vehicle, and people’s travel choices reflect that. Our proposal is for an active travel route between Sherwood and West Bridgford. This is the next step towards a complete, integrated active travel network throughout the city.
